Cool Planning on staying in the UK or going abroad?

I have been thinking for some time about what to do when I qualify. At the moment, me and a fellow student midwife have plans to apply to work in Australia when we qualify, as well as applying at home, just in case! The only thing is, I'm not sure whether or not Australia take newly qualified students, so if anyone knows anything about going down under, I would be very grateful. I feel like if I don't do it now, then I never will, but at the same time, I want to start my career somewhere I am familiar. You can't have it all, I guess! Does anyone else know anyone who has taken the big leap, or is planning on doing it
