Very sad to read and I feel sorry for the parents concerned. It is sad that they feel the midwife was to blame. Midwives don't perform c/sections , so why aren't they blaming the surgeons and the theatre staff. It sounds like they are lashing out at the only person who tried to give them care. The whole hospital is to blame not just one individual and instead of continuing on their witch hunt why doesn;t this family try to get answers from the hospital.
Blame is so easy to allocate but admitting that standards aren't what they should have been is something that the hospital has paid to go away.
