Agree with you Traceyb.

I hate it when so called experts say that if x had happened then the baby would have been fine. Nobody knows what would have happened. Taking the money is an acceptance of the fact the hospital was to blame but witch hunting the midwife is something I think the media is encouraging and probably paying for too.

No amount of money can compensate for the loss of a child but getting the hospital to look at its short comings and ensuring better care is taken of other women in labour would be a more fitting tribute to my child than money!!

The midwife it seems was the only person to have given them some care and yet they want to destroy her life by getting her struck off. Who delivered their new baby - a midwife perhaps. If all midwives were sued because - procedures and staffing levels were not adequate then perhaps surgeons would be the new baby deliverers! Was going to say catchers but they just pull em out!
