Yes it can carry on fulminating, as it affects the the internal organs (predominantly the liver and kidneys) and the body can take up to 6 weeks to return to its pre pregnant state so to do the organs acheive stasis. I would be concerned though if this womans BP had not dropped by now (personally) she may have developed hypertension, I presume they are still taking bloods?? Or have taken bloods? and dipsticked her urine??
