o0o0o0o0o PK, this is an interesting one..... the physiology of both preeclampsia and gestational diabetes are both complex but there is alot of info on the net and in books about it.

A good way to approach it would be as a case study. You can make it up to illustrate your points.

So youd start off with the booking history so

Ms X 28/40, primip, no significant medical history

Then current presentation

presented to clinic with high bp, proteinurea, flashing lights then say about the physiology of pre eclampsia - what the signs and symptoms are and how they come to present this way etc

Management

What youd do, so admit her for monitoring/take bloods and 24 hour urine collection etc, medicate if necessary to manage BP etc etc and talk about how youd manage the case clinically so the physiology of preeclampsia and why you would do a 24 hour urine collection, take blood etc

That sort of thing....
