So you can have a good old waffle about what you know about midwifery, great stuff. If it was me Id start with the definition of the role of a midwife (have a look on the NMC website - the rules and standards doc) and then Id say what the responsibilities are (all in the R&S) and Id also talk about conduct - so about ethics, law, confidentiality, consent etc. This stuff is a guided study exercise in the workbook so you may find that useful. I also talk about campaigsn like the RCMs normal birth campaign and one mother one midwife.

Researching the role, is that how you have researched the role of what a midwife does?
Again, ace. Thats to demonstrate how you go about researching a topic, so will be essential to demonstrate excellence here as it will show how you will work as a student when researching essays, pbl etc.
Here Id show that you have used varied resources like the internet, NMC wensite, RCM webiste, this website and also books and magazines, so if you can hold of a copy of the practising midwife (if you cant let me know and I'll send you one I have 12 billion!) and then show that you have looked at how midwives are kept up to date (again have a look on the news thread on here and say that you have looked at that to see what the latest news is in the profession)......

Hope that helps
