Hi Catriona - As Ollybolly has told you above, yes you can get secondments for 3yr degree programme. I have got one from the trust I work for as an MCA, but the applications were open to all HCA/NA/MCA in the trust. I wrote to the Head of Midwifery to register my interest in being seconded should the opportunity arise and they contacted me when some were available. The 'post' was advertised on the NHS jobs website and I had to formally apply and be interviewed. I have got a secondment, but am still waiting to hear if I have got a uni place!!!
