The day before my interview for uni, one of the girls on my access course said 'you're not doing nursing first, then?'

I said 'no, I don't want to be a nurse' she said 'ooh, well they prefer that you know'

I was a bit more meek then, this course rubs off on you, you know.

So said nothing but was quite upset.

Our college tutors had spent ages trying to prepare us for not getting in. five of us applied and we all made it (they had never had everyone being successful before)

I have said this before too...when I went to get a prospectus at uni, I was told by the receptionsit, not to bother, that applicant numbers were huge for very few places and it was extremely competitive. I thought I would try my best and here I am (I do sometimes think they made a mistake and will come and find me out sometimes though!)
