MMM not being funny, the VE's ok fair enough, but really there should surely be some underpinning theory to all of this, uni should have given you sessions, and I don't think that pethidine should be adminstered unless you know the implications/reasoning and dosage that you are given as after all if that midwife has drawn it up wrong or not checked it properly, they'll be in the s**t and also the poor student mw involved. We do not give anything like that unless we can state the affect it will have on mum/baby, the dosage amounts and also the reversal if required. God I hope they're not doing VIT K aswell xx supervisors of midwives at our trusts would have major hissyfits-darn right too x
