At our uni, I think the nurse students do the OSCE's but we do what they call a VIVA I think its latin term??
We go in the room and the doll and pelvis are on the table and the situation is either shoulder dystocia or breech, we were all expecting SD so I was horrified when there was the bendy dolls bum staring at me through the pelvis!!
We have to discuss all the research, implications risk factors etc, what position everything as much as my muddled brain could say!! Then you have to do the delivery and name the manoevres and things not to do!!! I said "hands off the breech" an awful lot lol x
