I have just 2 weeks left on DS, I love it there. I have had 5 witnesses and 4 hands on now. I was being looked after by a different midwife last week and she didn't want to step on my mentors toes by letting me catch baby on my own, but she did say I practically did it on my own anyway (I did placenta by myself though ..lol). Also seen a few forceps a ventouse and a couple of sections.
Hopefully I will actually get a couple of my own deliveries before I leave, but I won't be too disappointed if not as I have learnt so much, and there is much more to learn.
You will love it. How long are you there for?
