I would have thought that RCM was a very good place to start.
Also, try google scholars. It's a google search that brings up lots of articles and research papers. You can't always access the whole article but sometimes the abstract it brings up is enough.

Do you have access to athens at college/uni? If you do then you should be able to access lots of articles etc through this.


As for where to start, you could look at why some women choose electives. Have they had one before, are they scared of labour (past sexual abuse etc) did there best friend have one etc etc.
