Hey midwifemissy. I know, it's very frustrating doing literature searches.
Which databases are you using? I always find Cinahl and Ebsco host useful, also sciencedirect and the cochrane library. You have to keep using all sorts of different search terms to get the right one , and I always sort the results by 'relevance' instead of 'date'. Also, once you have found one article, look at the references and check those articles out. Sometimes you can just google these ones and access them this way.

What are you researching and what terms have you been using?
