Good article. Indies I think get a rough time though, with no support from the government and midwifery institutions. It is proven they are the gold standard for maternity care, sadly that means women have to pay and perhaps the 'socio-economic group' that needs this model of midwifery care most of all are not the ones it is accessible for.

It's a pity this cannot be supported in the UK as it is in NZ, with independent midwives attached to their hospitals.

Very sad, and time is running out, campaigning doesn't seem to be doing anything and time is running out. What a pity..
