Ok, so I've been looking online, in the book shop and at these threads and I've made a list of books I would like to get for when I start my course. But... this list is way to long and there is no way I can afford them all!

So, what are your top five books? Which have been the most useful but at the same time easy(ish) to understand but still jam packed with info? What books have been the best for your first year? (feel free to make a separate top five for that if you like!) I wanna know what the best books are for someone on a tight budget!
