Default Re: attitudes to students

On the whole i have had great mentors they have been supportive and have taught me a lot.

i find it is the other midwives who sometimes can be difficult. I have had a run in with one midwife on a few occassions and both times it has not been my fault but i took the brunt of it as i was the student on duty. It seemed very unfair but i was told to use it as a learning curve.

After my mentor took me to one side and told me she is like that with everyone so forget what happened and move on as i am competant in what i was doing and i did not need to be shouted at in that manner in front of others.
