Default Re: One Midwife or Two?

I recently experienced a (first) shoulder dystocia, and believe you me when that emergency bell is pulled it means the help is needed, I was amazed at the instant response and knowledge by those who responded of what to do in that situation, the woman and baby's wellbeing came before comfort, and there certainly is no place for comfort for the poor woman in that situation. Very overwhelming experience for me.

In the trust I am in at the moment, it is usual for attending midwife to buzz in a second when head is crowning to give syntometrine (with anterior shoulder of course) and 'take' baby.
