Default Energy levels

When you are on a shift that is so busy you hardly have chance to grab a drink, let alone eat something, how do you manage to maintain your energy levels?

I have been on a couple of really busy shifts like that, and have finished up so drained and worn out as my blood sugar levels have droppped too low. I am not really sure how to prevent this, but still do what I have to do?
