Default Re: IUD delivery

IUD is the term used at Brighton too. Actually, most women who have the awful situation of carrying an IUD do deliver vaginally at Brighton. I was told that this was obviously safer for the women, much more private (just a midwife, not a theater team), can bring 'closure' more easily and mainly so that the women and their families can leave hospital pretty quickly. If they have had a c-section then it's at least a 24-48 hour stay on postnatal ward - not great given the circumstances. I have seen quite a few thank you cards to the midwives for helping to make a dreadful experience more bearable by having peace and quiet, low lights, no intrusion etc. Still a crap situation tho' whatever way.
