 Re: First placements
Hello there.
Have just finished 2 long shifts on the ward (combined antenatal and postnatal), I really enjoyed myself and was really buzzing when i got home, full ward. My major achievement was removing 5 venflons (I have a wee bit of a needle phobia) and giving a woman an informed choice about breastfeeding. She did breastfeed in the end!
I often felt a bit like a spare part, but I'm sure as we go along we will start to feel more like a part of the team. Hope everyone else's 1st placements went well.
