Hi SC

A personal statement is personal to you! Most Universities are looking for certain qualities when they are reading your PS. They want to know things like:

- you understand the role of midwife
- that you show some team working i.e volunteering, in the jobs you have had etc
- that you are able to manage your time and that you can complete tasks/projects etc.

The list is probably endless and the Universities do all look for differing things. Some people mention their children and if pregnancy made you want to become a midwife then I would say that.

We have a really good section with Personal Statements on it and I would suggest that you read them before attempting to do yours. If you want anyone to read and help with your statement then just ask!!

Good luck and once you start writing your PS you will be surprised at how much you can write!
