Default Re: Placement hours

We have had 375 hours each semester in the first year, which works out for each placement to be around 37.5 hours a week. Unfortunately, I have to follow my mentor's shift pattern which is 3 long days a week - 07:20 - 21:20 (classed as 13.5 hours), so VERY long days. Or I have to do nights, which are classed as 10.5 hours.

We are allowed 5 study days per semester out of placement, classed as 7.5 hours each, which are really valuable when you have several long days/nights in a row and need to get some study done or if there's a seminar/study day going on that you wish to attend.

Must admit, i have only actually done one early shift this placement - 07:20 - 15:30 and it was rather nice. I'm not keen on lates (13:20 - 21:20), but then I never was in my old job - I always feel like I'm waiting to go to work until It's time to go.

However, the long days are good as they get all your hours out of the way at once and you get to be with one woman throughout usually - sometimes even two!
