Re: Getting advice on the application process.... I went 'casual' because I had a suit type job I didnt want them to think I was a 'suit' so I went in smart trousers and a nice top, my aim was to look like a 'nice girl' lol a little bit of makeup not loads and hair up and smart. I also made sure I was well groomed generally, I thought I cant turn up with untidy nails etc as Im sure they will look at things like presentation. Afterall you are going to be interviewed to become an advocate for women and for the profession, so you need to look clean and smart, be well mannered and confident in why you want to follow this path.
Good questions to ask are things that show you have looked into the course and even better if youve managed to get a tour of the base site you may be offered then ask about that. Ask where they stand on the RCM normal birth campaign etc look into current issues and themes in midwifery atm and bring them in.
