I am off to india next year with a large group of health students (midwives, nurses, child nurses, mental health, ODP's and OT's. This is a orgainzed trip that our uni does each year to a small misssion hospital in Kerela, for 16 days, but we have to fund our own place, we need to fund flights, food and accom (which is cheap), and our own travel insurance.

The same can be said for elective placements if you fancy somewhere nice and sunny you need to fund it yourself. so its time to get saving... personally I have lots of bits and bobs going on ebay and will be doing a few boot fairs to help with costs.

I have not decided where I would like to go for my elective yet! but if you can fund it the world is your oyster.
