I asked someone in admissions at Worcester if i needed recent study but she said i just needed to get some hands-on care work experience which i am trying to do.
Any ideas anyone?
I'm pretty sure Freefall is correct. Most unis expect study within the last 3-5 years. The more recent the better. I think your best bet is to apply for an Access or OU course and then use your tutor for that as your referee. 16 years is a VERY long time to be out of education.
