Hi

I have been through similar with my OH. However, I think it was fear of change with him. I didn't let it change my mind and he now seems to have accepted my decision and although there is still the occasional wee niggley comment he seems to understand how important this is to me and is broadly supportive. I basically told him that if he couldn't see how important this was to me and that I was not going to change my mind or back down then I would never be able to forgive him. That seems to have done the trick.

We shall see how he copes when I am actually in the midst of placements and studying though...............
