Not a mum, but general opinion - honesty is the best policy! I'd tell tham that it'd be hard at first but you'll manage with family support etc... Tell the truth, you cannot get caught out then. You may find it ok to work round children but if you don't and you've told them that it'd all be fine then that doesn't look too good. Just my opinion love, I'm sure other people here, who have children, will answer better than I have!
