I think you could add reference to Igor Tjarkovsky here. Also more explicit mention of Michel Odent's introduction of water as labour pain relief at Pithiviers, France. It's worth noting that Odent's labouring in water at Pithiviers did not have the objective of waterbirth but rather pain relief, births under water were simply a consequence of women remaining in the pool.
