..... for wanabe's/new students applying to your University? whether your Uni operates a buddying system or not, I am proposing a buddying system of members of student midwife network to support wanabe's and new students at your University. In time the programme will be rolled out to the Unis that dont have a system, but for now Im piloting it here, so be one if the first! You'll have a lovely certificate for your CAP doc and will be helping others fulfil their dreams...
It will be as involved as you want it to be...

Contact via this site and support with orientation of process of applying, help with personal statements, general encouragement and friendship
Chats via msn or email
Meet up, chats, coffee, show them around your Uni or site
All of the above plus whatever feels right i.e. my unofficial buddys and I ate far too much pudding and drank to much rather often and they are now two of my best gals (and are mentors on my site now and both RM's).
From a good deed can come great friendship.
