Great to see you here after finding you on myspace. Here in the UK it is widely accepted that being a single mum isnt any reason to have you baby adopted, unless this is of coursewhat the woman wants. In the 60s my mum was a single mother and it was normal to be viewed as unfit and comments and dirty looks in the street were the norm. I have looked after many women both ante, intra and postnatally who do not have a partner and it wouldnt cross my mind to treat them any differently than I would any woman with a partner however I do recognise that they often need extra support and help as any pregnant woman/new mother would.
