Re: how many of you are parents?
I have three kids, who were 2, 4, and 6 when I started my training on the 3 year course. It was hard at times, trying to fit everything in, and there were times I wondered why I was putting my family through it - it would be true to say that the whole family takes on the course, not just the student. There are always the days when one of the kids wants you to e at home and you just can't be - it's heartbreaking at the time and you feel so selfish, but I figured that it would be the same whether I was a st m/w or working elsewhere. The key is to making sure you have some family time each week that the course does not intrude upon no matter what, and making sure you keep up to date with things - if you get behind it's reeeaalllyy hard to catch up.
