I agree with smwife about The Practising Midwife journal, I subscribed to that before I applied, and I found it very useful, but easy to read and understand.

I found The Baby Catcher to be a very inspiring book, and have read it a few times, and I also like Shadows of the Workouse too. These aren't journals, but are about midwifery in the 1950's.

I am reading Spiritual Midwifery at the moment, and I am enjoying that too.
