Re: Hypnobirthing
Hi
I think nearly everyone of my homebirth clients have used natal hypnotherapy in some form or another. They have ranged from using cd's in the home through to going to see a fully qualified hypnotherapist. I had a great experience with a very anxious multip who had a previous section. She laboured fantastic at home with the TENS machine and hypnotherapy..no other analgesia was needed...then again, it's very rare I use anything but water anyway at home..oh and a little whiff of entonox maybe.
It's great to see in action, so I urge all of you student midwives out there to go on a study day at least and suggest it to your mums if you can!!
