I would get shot, but I would rather have a mum go home happy and confident and bottlefeeding, than stressed and miserable and breastfeeding. I breastfed all of my children and it is a wonderful experience, but I can acknowledge that it is not right for everyone, and support those who choose not to do it. There seems to be this impression that midwives think that bottlefeeding mums are inferior to breastfeeding mums. Bull.

Being a parent is all about making choices, and being a midwife is all about supporting women and families in the choices they make.
