I was commenting on 2 ends of a spectrum that I am witnessing in practice (different attitudes and values) and then took it out to extremes for debate purposes ... to see if anyone else had picked up on anything like it in practice and i guess as you raise, it is likley to influence which path students may choose to tread so yea, all of the above
