Hi Tiffany. I'm on labour ward for my next placement. I go back out on 19th May for 7 weeks, then follow on straight away to ward 10 (our ante/post natal ward) for another 7 weeks.
I'm looking forward to it, but also really scared. I've had such an amazing time in community with the women and wonderful mentors that I keep thinking that I won't have another placement to match it. I know I'll be fine once I'm there though.
I also think I worry that labour ward can easily become too medicalised very quickly and that aspect of it saddens me
