Heres a nice summary katie....

I know that feeling sassy, took me years before I got sorted out and I still have major flare ups, Ive just recently started metformine and have regular normal periods now - quite a shock after years of scary ones then none, then one for 3 months (nice) and dodgy spottyness. Ive been lucky and never had acne or hirsuitism (a tad years ago and had electrolysis), I got the other end of the spectrum crap blood sugars and an ever expanding waistline..... huummpphh.....
If I were you Id take your GP the research on metformine and get on that gal, marvellous stuff. If that fails then change GP its a cruel condition if noone gives you a hand in managing the symptoms.... I know all about that.....
Also try the Gi diet for managing the insulin levels and headaches etc.... that and metformine mean I have an almost normal life these days...
