Hi anyone who is coming to the bradford open day on wednesday the 13th.

Me and a few other first years have been in uni today organising our little presentation for you...(please be gentle with us talking infront of you all)
We were told that there are going to be 87 applicants there (there may be more people there though if ppl bring parents or friends along with them)

We will be there to greet you when you arrive then us first years are going to toddle off to the pub before we talk to you at about 3pm..

How was it? Sorry I couldn't make it. My interview is on 4th March though. I'm prob still going to that. not sure how the group interview thing goes though!

Group interview is fine! there will be between 8 and 10 of you with approx 3 facilitators who will be responsible for marking about three each and you just discuss the enigma that you are given- simple

All you have to do is make sure you dont talk too much, dont talk too little and make sure if you do disagree with another member you can back it up.

I found it really quite easy and much prefer it to an individual interview any day !!!!!

Good luck im not in on that day, so i wont be transported back a year!!!

I know 3 people going on the same day as me.. is this a good or bad thing?

Mmmm not sure- there was supposed to be 30 of us on our interview day but only about 20 turned up so we had smaller groups but everyone who i knew (about 4 girls) all got in- i wasnt in the same group as them but some were in together.

At the open day they said that there would be groups of 12 and they would pick the 4 who had the highest scores. Please correct me if im wrong, it was just how i understood it. Like you have said this does depend on all that turn up, or they may have a reserve list to replace students that have let them know in advance?
