what questions can I ask at interview? help!

I am really struggling to think of questions that I can ask at my interview!! Has anyone had any genius moments they would care to share? Would be very grateful and will love and admire you forever! xx

You could ask the interviewer(s) what made them think of becoming a Midwife (if you're being interviewed by one that is!!) it would make a good start of discussion, you could also ask about your dissertation that you have to do on your final year, or maybe inquire as to how many of last years students managed to receive jobs after they qualified?

Hi Zoy, thanks for your reply! A good couple of suggestions - I hadn't thought about asking from that angle so that's really helpful. Good luck for your interviews - mine is at Brighton on the 17th, so I'll post the questions they asked and any tips when I get back! xx

hello I asked the Uni i applied to What procedures they are putting in place for the additional money that the government will be putting into the NHS for maternity services. I also asked them what qualities does their Uni feel they have compared to others. The interviewers seemed impressed by those questions so you can give them a go.

Hiya!

One of the questions I asked was, 'I have a particular interest in teenage mums/parents, how could I carry this forward into a future career?' If you have a particular interest in a certain area of midwifery you could use the same.

I also asked how much we would be involved in dealing with emergency situations by the time we got to year 3.

My friend asked her interviewer what made her become a midwife to which she hautily replied 'thats personal '! so be careful

I asked what students struggle with the most in their experience. Also, what support they had in place etc.... I always think it's good to kind of throw it back to them! Also, makes them feel maybe like we're not too desperate - which of course we are - but thats not the point!!
