I've got my interview tomorrow BUT!!

Hey everyone!!

I've got my interview tomorrow at UWE Bristol, and I'm trying to think of something to discuss with the interviewers about current issues, but I'm a little stuck with what to talk about!!

I was thinking along the lines of the job shortages but I don't know that much around it!! Any help with be very much appreciated!!

I discussed issues surrounding midwifery today... Maternity Matters... the right to choose where to labour and birth your baby.. one woman one midwife campaign.. coninuity of care.. the healthcare commision audit that was outlines in the practising midwife... and so on.. sorry if thats too late.

At mine I talked about immigration, and the fact that although th rate for British born nationals giving birth in this country is static or even on the decline, the overall figure is higher than in previous years as there are many asylum seekers and immigrant women giving birth in Britain. And how they have often not had good ante natal care in the country they have come from, and they and their babies health is sometimes not too good. Also about how they should be treated with complete respect and the cultural issues we need to take into effect when caring for them.

Dont know if this helps but its pretty topical, and was met with a fair amont of enthsism by my interviewers!
