I have sent my application, just got the letter today from Catch saying they have received it. So I am hoping to get an interview. I'm worried I sent my application too late in the year.
Quite nervous about going to an interview. Good luck with yours. |

I got a letter yesterday saying the University is not processing applications at the moment due to a high volume of applicants or something like that.
My stomach sank when I read the words ' I regret. ' But it does say they will commence the process in April, for admission in Sept 2008. So it's not so bad really. I hope I get an interview. |

Hi
I was interviewed at Napier last year. It consisted of a short written exercise discussing "Should women have choices in childbirth", then came the interview. It lasted about 20mins. We were then sent to Occupational Health to give blood and answer some general health questions. I was unsuccesful last year but i have been accepted in at Dundee for Sep 08...............x |

Caz, yeah I know there is a written exercise on a midwifery related subject. I'm okay with writing really, it's just difficult under pressure.
What questions were you asked during the interview? If you can remember, I know it was a while ago. Well done with getting accepted to Dundee, it's a good University, I was thinking of doing Forensic Anthropology there at one point. Hannah x |

As i am already a staff nurse i was interviewed for the shortened course. Questions like Why did i want to do midwifery, what recent articles had i read, what were my best qualities, what is the role of the midwife..........hope this is of help x

Yep Caz that's cool.
I am just trying to prepare myself... I haven't even been called for an interview yet. So I hope I get it. The process is so slow, I have too much time to think about things, whether my Personal Statement wasn't good enough, whether they have too many applicants, and the fact that I only applied to one university worries me a little as I have no back up. The thing is I can't travel very far, so it's gotta be in Edinburgh. Hannahx |
