Unhappy waiting, and waiting, and waiting...........

i am finding the not knowing extremely hard to cope with

have cried on and off for days, for and with friends who were unsucessful (so gutted for them it was like i hadn't got a place myself) tears of joy for friends who have got a place

when i'm on my i think about it and how much i desperately want an offer i start to cry again.........just thinking about it now doing this i have tears

and god if i am in the car i am sobbing by time i reach my destination, the amount of times i have pulled up at junctions traffic lights etc and looked to side to see people looking at me funny (ok looking at me funny more than normal i mean lol )

kids have stoppped asking whats wrong cos they know the answer, they just look at me for confirmation it is the not knowing and not something else

house is sparking cos of doing housework to take mind of the waiting - funnily enough though there are still assignments that need doing but cant get into them lol

cant even chillout and forget about track over easter.
track is closed till 8.30am wednesday BUT thats just customer service department so it doesnt mean it won't be updated because I've heard of 2 people (one success and one failure for 2 different unis) whos track was update yesterday so that news doesnt help me relax, i am STILL checking track every oppurtunity i get

looking at dates for diary on the UCAS website it does read that i (and everyone else waiting to hear cos i knowi am not alone even though it feels like it) should have a decision by 31st March if application was recieved by 15th Jan and interview has taken place (that is if i have read it correctly) but even that does nothing to alleviate how i feel

I only want ONE place - is that asking for tooo much do you think.........feels like i am asking for the moon-on-a-stick

I have even offered to give up chocolate...................

Angela,

I remember it all too well..

The waiting is hell, I know. It seems like a long time ago and is in some ways, but this will keep you going when you have lows on the course.

When is the UCAS deadline? Has anyone else heard about your uni, i.e unsuccessfuls?

I was like a deranged woman I waited 2 months to find out, I hate waiting for things, I hated pregnancy for the same reasons!

Huge hugs to you, I hope you make it in and that you hear soon

Oh Angela I really feel for you hun, the waiting process is cruel, no evil. I can sympathise so much with your situation as you are me 12 months ago. You need to make a promise with yourself to only check track once a day, if your anything like I was you're probably checking it every hour at the moment. Try your best to get your assignments done, again I neglected mine while waiting for track cos I couldnt concentrate, but remember if you get an offer your gonna need your results hun so dont leave them til last minute cos it would be such a shame to get your offer and not get your required course results. If your anything like I was you probably cant sleep and feel sick most of the time but let me tell you there is light at the end of the tunnel hun and your nearly there now. Remember that if some of your friends have already had unsuccesfuls and your still waiting then no news is good news as the generally let the unsuccesfuls know sooner rather than later. When did you have your interview hun did you apply to more than one place? Im sending you a big hug to cheer you up while your waiting

Unhappy Re: waiting, and waiting, and waiting...........

Bless you both

I am tracking least once an hour while at home, even tried going out and doing retail therapy to keep me away from computer but even that failed lol

its been 2months, 2weeks and 6days since first interview, that was ARU Cambridge, i know of approx 3 people who have heard fom ARU but that was Chelmsford, 2 successes and one fail.

Friends who have heard all heard for UCS and i have to keep reminding myself that i have yet to have my UCS interview its booked for April 16th, everytime i go on track i feel ill when there is nothing there for UCS but like said i forget i havent had interview yet lol

UEA is 3rd choice, and that interview was only 2weeks and 5days ago *gosh was it only that short time ago* feels like lifetime away

When i am work i am driving them all mad all the sisters, nurses even porters ask me everytime they walk passed "any news" so really they dont help lol the consultants pace about anyway but one of them paced yesterday while i logged onto track cos he specifically asked me to check again lol
i can hear them all muttering "fgs give this woman a place so we can all get some work done" lol they must be pleased i am off till tuesday lol

i'd do well to remember the words of my oldest and bestest friend that "All the worry and stressing in world WILL NOT change the decision, that is almost certainly already made but is just waiting in the wind to arrive with me...."

Hi Angela,

My heart goes out to you, and everyone else who is waiting to hear. It always feel worse when people start being offered places around you, you feel ignored, forgotten and left out don't you?

I only had to wait about a week and a half to two weeks to find out if I had got a place through clearing, and that was bad enough. I was also driving everyone mad as it was my last hope of getting a place until this year.

I really hope you get good news, and I hope it comes real soon for you. I have everything crossed for you.

I am in that same position and its horrible, ive only been waiting a week, I had my DMU interview a week ago tomorrow and the waiting is agonising, I have this 'feeling' everytime I think about the outcome whether its an offer or an unsuccessful!. I really want to know. I have an unsuccessful from Coventry and think Im gonna get the same from DMU. I will keep you posted............
