well on the form it asks for any gynaecological problems...so my fentons operation would come under that ...but i was thinking that its all a bit intruding looking at it again...and i dont really see how half of it is relevant!!
it also asks for stomach or bowel problems, bladder problems, skin diseases or acne...most of it sounds really irrelevant but it gives you a list where you have to tick the boxes and give more details!!
what kindo of stuff would go against you??i mean are they gonna reject someone for having an operation on there knee a few years ago or something??it just sounds a bit ridiculous to me!!
sorry rant over!
oh and it also asks about depression etc...i had a bit of pnd when my daughter was born...would this go against me??

No. They want to know that you don't have recurring problems, and the likes of depression that you can manage it before it gets too much of a problem for yourself.

I don't think so really Sarah, though I can't speak for your uni.

Alot of ladies on the course, both nurses and midwives have had depression and been on anti-depressants, they put this down and have had no problems.

Also there are two in my cohort with prolapsed discs, quite bad histories by all accounts who have got onto the course also.

I don't know of any other circumstances.

I put my gynae stuff in also, I have some history there.

You could always ask your practice nurse at the Gp for advice, she may know exactly what is most relevant xx

Thanks everyone...its just all a bit confusing cause i dont want to be penalised for missing something out unintentionally ...i've spoken to my gp and she said to put in as much as i can and if ive left anything relevant out she will fill it in..because its an offence to lie!!(not that i would have!!)

Personally I'd take the form to my GP and ask him/her what they thought needed to go on it and what didn't... if possible... get them to fill it in FOR you xx

£14!!!
My GP didnt say anything about a charge.....hmmm...will give them a call on monday!!
Also she did say something about the vaccinations part..if i had some done at school they wouldnt have them on their record..I asked about contacting my school and she said that they might not have kept it on file either because i had left there 6 years ago!!
Does anyone know if theres a seperate records place which would be able to tell me what vaccinations i had done at school??I know about my BCG and vaguely remember something being done when i was in primary school .But cant for the life of me remeber what it was!!
xx

I wasn't able to get access to all my vaccinations I had as child, but uni were fine with that, they said if I couldn't get the records I couldn't get them.

oh thats ok then ...because I know that the health check is a vital part of your offer. If you dont pass that you dont get in basically .So missing out some info on a few childhood vaccinations doesnt matter then .
