Hi everyone, I have got my interview on Friday and im just trying to prepare my answers to the questions i might get asked. I no this probably sounds really daft but the one im struggling on most is Why do I want to be a Midwife. I just do im passionate about it and always have been. dont quite think this will be enough though somehow!!!! Can anyone give me any help please xxxx

What reasons did you give in your PS Clare? Use some of those as examples.

What draws you to midwifery rather than anything else?

Thank you both some great ideas there. My personal statement focussed a lot on my experience. with me being a nurse got a feeling they will focus on why i want to change to midwifery. i always have and thats why i did my nursing really.

Have a look at the education resources section and the news section then you can show them you are familiar with midwifery terms and also the latest news in the profession

Hi Clare,
I had my interview a few weeks ago and struggled with the same thing. Definatly try writitng it down, obv. you cant take it in but it helps get all the things flying around your head straight! First, try writing personal things...1 or 2 points about how ur personality links to the career, your very lucky coz you may have encountered Midwives in their natural setting so can relate. Then a couple of proffessional points, link in your experiences and how they'll benefit. Then maybe throw something in about the uni...this shows you've looked into how they specifically teach and that you genuinly want to go!! Hope this helps a bit.
