Hello there Shell, I'm a student at UCLAN, but my interview was nothing like that, we had to write a piece in the room about the role of the midwife (I think, and why we wanted to be one), the at my interview, I was asked about the role fathers/partners play, antenatal classes. if I had read anything lately that was pertinent to midwifery, how I would cope with the academic side of things (which won't apply to you!!) and I cannot really remember any more it was quite a quick interview, with a midwife from one of the trusts and one of the lecturers.
Mention the impact that Changing Childbirth (DoH 1992) has had on midwifery, and the winterton report, the ethos of which was to enable and encourage women to have an informed choice and play a key role in decision making throughout their experience of pregnancy and childbirth.
Also which journals you subscribe to (if any) and perhaps the CEMACH (confidential enquiry into maternal and child health) report which has highlighted and further reinforced the need for contemporaneous record keeping.

Oh and welcome to the site xx
