How does this work?
I put down two my college tutor and my boss, my boss recieved a reference request before my interview at swansea....is this normal?

Mine did too, I don't find it strange. I think it's easier for them to receive them all before your interview so they can manage your application easier.

I found it strange because with jobs, they ask for references after interview. Yes, I know it's not a job interview, but I thought the same principle would apply. Obviously not, but considering the amount of people applying, I suppose it's a good thing to ask before!!

Yeh, the only thing that made me wonder bout it was ive read a couple of posts on hear about 'second references' whereas i thought they were equal? work ref and college ref. hhhmmmm? x

I put a college reference on my application and then the universities have requested second references... Teesside are asking for it NOW when I've already got an offer and York wanted me to take it with me to my interview.
