Yes, I found it hard too.
I said I am very passionate with regards to the care women receive in maternity services. That this is the main reason I want to be a midwife to be truly 'with woman' and to provide holistic, individualised care to the best of my ability. That community midwifery is where my heart lies as this is achieved from booking, through homebirth and then into the postnatal period. Getting to know each woman, what her hopes and dreams are and being able to empower her to have the pregnancy, labour and postnatal care she wishes to have. Sounds a bit pants now, but I did get in (not sure why?!)

I said to empower women, to be their advocate to give them the birth experience and care that they want. To educate and inform them so they can make true informed choices about their pregnancy and birth.

I said "I'm passionate about women and the care they recieve during pregnacy. To be able to act as an advocate for these women and empower them to have the birthing experience they desire is my number one priority. I can't really explain it, it's something I feel inside and I know I have to do this..."

I said i was amazed at the process of reproduction and from the age of abou 3, coiuldnt help but stare at pregnancy bumps. At 7, i decided i wanted to be a nurse this stuck with me through to the age of 14 when we received careers guidence at school and I looked at different branches of nursing but something just wasnt right.... then i read up on midwifery and it just clicked. I wanted to help people who wanted my help. Cancer patients are greatful for the care they receive but no one can say they want to need cancer treatment. Also said I wanted to support women and their families through a life changing event whilst empowering (i hate that word) then to be involved in the decision making surrounding their care and some stuff about how i beleive birth should be what the mother wants....
