Ode to the Postman...

Dear Mr Postman, my wish is so sincere
I just want 1 small letter, from Bangor to right here

I don't want flowers - not today, nothing that's alive
An A5 letter will suffice, with good news stuffed inside

Oh Postie can't you hear my plea... I'm not asking for much
Just for Bangor University to get in touch!

I'm really very grateful for my friends you've been to see,
But now it's time to bring some good news over here to me

I promise if you bring good news I'll kiss you in the street
And I'll even stop my Westie pup from nipping at your feet!

And so, until tomorrow, your arrival I'll await
Another night to climb the walls, only guessing my fate

Please Mr Postman, pleeeeeease bring me some news,
And let it be the good sort, or I'll feed you doggy chews....

PS If you could also make sure, if it is a no
That it doesn't come on Wednesday, or my birthday will just blow
