Default UCAS and CATCH applications
Hi just sent my application off to CATCH today, they only send your application form to your first choice of uni, and then onto the next choice if your unsuccesful at the interview. Do UCAS send your application to all your uni choices straight away?? Can't believe how nervous I am already and I've only just sent the thing - fingers crossed I get an interview!!!!!!!!!!!

Hiya, through CATCH is how you apply for some Nursing and Midwifery degrees in Scotland, it's a NHS Scotland thing. Dunno what it stands for though! Some uni's still use UCAS which in my opinion is a much better system - you can't apply online with CATCH either.

just as a matter of interest, caley told me they are switching over to ucas for midwifery applications from next year. Don't know if the same will apply for the other scottish unis through...

further to this noticed on online version of catch application form it now states catch are only processing applications for courses up to Autumn 2009. After this you are to use UCAS so must be for all Scottish Unis.

Applying through UCAS will be much better - but hope it doesn't come to that and I'll be successful for next year! I got a letter in from CATCH saying the uni's I'd applied to weren't processing applications until August and October due to the high volume of midwifery applicants. It asked if I wanted to change my course or keep it on file until processing begins again - obviously chose to keep it on file - no way I want to do anything else lol

I had heard that UWS Hamilton had everything on hold till August. Need to get a move on and do my PS really.....Is Caley your second choice? I take it they are the October processors?
