Unhappy reserve list
I phoned admissions today to chase up my application and they said i was "successful" but they don't have a place for me......i'm on the reserves, i'm confused, what does that even mean?


help.....

Hiya. I got on the reserve list for Swansea, it means that if people drop out then the people on the reserve will be offered the places beofre they go through clearing!

Well done on your successful. I haven't yet started the application process so someone who's been through it is probably better qualified than me to answer but I guess getting on the reserve list means that either you will get offered a place if someone who has been offered a place declines it or maybe they will defer your entry date - either way, I'd look on it as really positive so well done!!

Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you again hun and really hope that you get a place. Don't think that it is all lost because some people have more than one offer and don't reject any offers until they get all their offers in. This means then that your Uni will have to allocate places off their reserve list.

Did you only apply to the one?

You deserve congratulations hun, you are good enough for a place
LOTS of people get on a course after being on the reserve list, some unis use all their reserve list AND MORE, so its a good thing

fingers crossed the people offered places at your chosen uni have places elsewhere and you get your deserved place soon x

Hi Rachael, congrats on being successful!!! When I went to the open day at paisley they said when they dont have enough places but you have been successful your in a queue, you dont have to reapply next year or anything, you just get bumped up the list and she mentioned february intakes as well and as soon as they have space in september or february you get on the course. So well done x
